Description |
English: A straight, fence-lined road leads through a field to a cluster of farm buildings. Monocacy National Battlefield. Farmstead clusters on the battlefield property had been determined by site topography and the course of the river. The clusters marked the central core of the farms. Today, only Hermitage, Araby Farm, Hill Farm, and Baker Farm retain this historic cluster arrangement.
