Summary

[edit]
Description

The church dates from the early fourteenth century and has a western tower, nave, south porch, north transept, and chancel. It is built in flint and cement with a slate roof.

The tower is of three stages with diagonal buttresses and a battlemented parapet. The nave is of three bays with a fifteenth century arched braced roof, and has a fragmentary wall painting of St Christopher on the north wall, and a series of consecration crosses on the nave east wall and north transept. There is a fifteenth century octagonal font with instruments of the passion and flower panels, all recut.

There is a window of reset fragments of fifteenth century glass, with one piece dating to the fourteenth century.

The church was restored in 1862 by Frederick Preedy who also replaced the stalls, pews, and pulpit.

There is a single manual organ.
