Las Bardenas son un extenso territorio (41.845 hectáreas)semidesertico y despoblado,situado al SE de Navarra.Ofrece un paisaje abructo,lleno de cabezos,planas,barrancos encajados.......Con veranos muy muy calurosos,inviernos muy frios y lluvias escasas. Estas tierras pertenecieron al patrimonio de los Reyes de Navarra,que desde el siglo IX,fueron cediendo derechos a diversas poblaciones.En 1705 esos derechos se confirmaron y unificaron en manos de veintidos entidades."Congozantes",asi denominadas por ser las únicas que gozan a perpetuidad del uso en común:Arguedas,Buñuel,Cabanillas,Cdreita,Caparroso,Carcastillo,Corella,Cortes,Falces,Funes,Fustiñana,Marcilla,Mélida,Milagro,Peralta,Santacara,Tudela,Valtierra,Valle de Roncal,Valle de Salazar y Monasterio de Oliva.Estas entidades forman desde entonces la Comunidad de Bardenas Reales. |
