Description
English: Pencil, sepia and beige wash drawing on beige paper shows view of mercury [quicksilver] mines at New Almaden. The milling complex, known as Hacienda de Beneficio (Hacienda Reduction Works), is shown along a narrow valley near Alamitos Creek. The raw ore is brought in on packs carried by a mule train and teams of oxen carry wagons full of mercury uphill.
Español: Dibujo en papel café claro, hecho con lápiz y tinta de color sepia y café claro, muestra vista de minas de mercurio en New Almaden. La molienda, conocida como la Hacienda de Beneficio, se ve entre un valle angosto debajo del Arroyo Alamitos.
