Description
English: A Roman Empire base metal cast counterfeit of a Septimius Severus (AD 193-211) denarius. It is inscribed P M TR P III [...] and depicts Minerva on the reverse. It can therefore be dated to during or after the reign of Septimius Severus, 193-211. See c.f. RIC IV, pt. 1, no. 49 (struck at Rome, 194-5). Metal not tested, probably a high-tin alloy
