Description
English: Basin, handle at each end, decorated with three transfer printed sea shells on each side and gilded line around top, middle and bottom, 'Barr, Flight and Barr ' (packing list 19.10.95). The shape and marked could be dated from c 1780-c. 1840 (Godden, 1965, figs. 657 and 658). Shell motifs, both printed or painted, occur on fine quality Worcester porcelian of this period (c. 1807-1813) (Godden, 1965, fig. 659)
