Norsk bokmål: Bassengparken på Gjøvik.Bassengparken er Gjøviks første større park, og utmerker seg med de mange vakre hengebjørkene. Parken ble til som en følge av at man etter tørkesommeren i 1880 demmet opp Fogstadbekken for å gi byen en sikker vannforsyning, og etter hvert fikk området beplantning og utviklet seg til en folkepark, med musikkpaviljong og det hele. Etter at Alf Mjøen skjenket gården Nedre Gjøvik, i dag Gjøvik Gård, til kulturformål, mistet Bassengparken sin betydning som kulturpark. Kanskje er dette i ferd med å endres, da det sommeren 2013 gikk et barneteater i parken. Dammen, som er på størrelse med et lite tjern, har også en god bestand av småsalamander. |
