Summary[edit]
DescriptionBayonet handle (16691813374).jpg | Archaeologist and diver James Duff holds the handle from a P.S. Justice rifle bayonet, model 1861, type II. This particular brand rifle was reputed to have issues with quality and safety. One inspector described the bayonets are being made of soft iron that remained bent once they were set and even broke off during training exercises. Courtesy photo |
