Beaker barbed and tanged arrowhead (dorsal)
Photographer

Title
Beaker barbed and tanged arrowhead (dorsal)
Description
English: Flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, bifacially reworked on all margins with only the centre of the ventral face left untouched. The left barb on the dorsal face has been snapped off, possibly during use. The flint is a light grey-beige colour and has some marks from iron staining on the dorsal face. The length to breadth ratio is about 3:2. The arrowhead is small for its type but generally compares well to examples from the Beaker period. Bond (2004) illustrates similar examples on page 125, Fig.5.110, Sutton Type i, and on page 147, Fig.5.133, No.F177, which are dated to the Beaker period.
