| Description |
Deutsch: Bergfried der ehemaligen Bischofsburg in Alvensleben (Bebertal I), zeitweise Miteigentum oder Pfandbesitz der von Berwinkel. In der Nähe der Bischofsburg befand sich deren Schutzburg, die Ritterburg, um 1260 bis Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts in Besitz der Familie von Berwinkel. – Die Bischofsburg bestand über 600 Jahre bis die baufälligen Gebäude um 1700 allmählich abgetragen wurden. Geblieben ist nur der efeubekränzte 30 m hohe Bergfried, später im Volksmund „Landratsturm“ genannt, heute in Privatbesitz. – „Dort droben auf jenem Berge · Da schaut ihr die Warte der Burg: – Noch trotzet ihr festes Gemäuer · Dem nagenden Zahne der Zeit“. |
