Title
Bell : Post-medieval
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy bell of early-medieval date (broadly 10th century). The bell is of hexagonal section, with straight sides tapering towards the top, where it is surmounted by a damaged projection which would have formed the lower part of a suspension loop. The six sides that surround the open bottom end are concave and have been turned inwards to create a lobe on each of the six corners.

Both inner and outer surfaces of the object are a greenish brown with a heavily corroded patina.
