English: Built in 1903, this Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival-style church was constructed to house the congregation of Belleview Baptist Church, founded in 1803. The church features a red brick facade with a front-gable roof, decorative gable trim, a roman arched stained glass window, on the front facade above the main entrance, double-hung stained glass windows on the addition that were removed during the renovation and expansion of the church in 2012, a corner tower with an open belfry, hipped roof, oxeye stained glass window, and blind bays, a datestone above the front entrance with the words “Belleview Baptist Church Organizeed 1803 Erected 1903” emblazoned on it, and stone lintels and sills. The church was modified in the mid-20th Century with a shed-roof wing added to the south side of the structure, and a simple red brick-clad additional building being added alongside the church circa 1961. According to aerial imagery, in 2004-2005, after purchasing land across Main Street from the historic church, which formerly contained the historic Jonas Clore House and Belleview Post Office, the two historic structures were moved approximately 800 feet southeast of their original location to a previously open field at the corner of 7th Street and Sycamore Street. This land sat vacant except for a carport and trees until an addition that includes a garage being added to the house after it was moved. In 2012, the church succeeded in having one block of Main Street closed so the building could be extended across the former street right-of-way to the northwest, which contains a modern red brick gabled side wing that contains an enlarged and reconfigured sanctuary to accommodate the growing congregation, while allowing the historic church building to be retained. Other parts of the church were modified around this time with the addition of stone cladding and a new standing seam metal roof. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
