Description |
English: A complete, copper alloy, post medieval (1550-1700), belt mount or strap fitting. The mount is flat in profile and roughly symetrical about its length. The outline shape consists of a tear drop body with smaller tri-lobed shapes at each end. On the rear there is a prong at each end for fixing the mount to a leather belt. The front face has patches of tinning, otherwise the mount has a mid green patina over a red brown core.
27.3mm long, 14.5mm wide and 1.5mm thick. Wieght 2.0g. |
