Title |
Belt mounts |
||
Description |
English: 17 belt mount attachments (numbered in three rows, from top left to bottom right). All of the artefacts have been cast in copper alloy, in the same shape. The attachments each have a large, hollow backed central hemisphere, with round lobes at the top and bottom; through the lobes of each artefact are rivets, which are flush with the surface. Over the centre of each is incribed decoration. Numbers 1-5 have between four and six horizontal lines around the middle, with vertical lines across these. Numbers 6-10 and 13 have just four to seven horizontal lines. 15 and 17 have just three lines. 16 has just two lines. 11 and 14 have no decoration. The central body of 12 has diagonal cross-hatching. |
