Description
English:
Built to Leó Lánczy, bank CEO (1852-1921). A three storey, mansard roof, luxury, tennement building on a corner plot. Architects: Kálmán Griegl and Flóris Korbl. Former (2nd half of the 20th century) Chinese Embassy - 17 Benczúr Street=25 Bajza Street, 6th district of Budapest.

Lánczy luxus bérház 'palota' Építészek: Giergl Kálmán és Korb Flóris?. Lánczy Leó bank elnök-vezérigazgató megbízásából épült - Téglány alaprajzú, háromszintes, manzárdtetős saroképület nagy kerttel, mely a Benczúr utca zárt beépítésébe illeszkedik, a Bajza utca felé keskeny előkerttel csatlakozik. Kerítése kőlábazatos, kovácsoltvas rácsozatú. A kertbe magasföldszinti teraszlépcső és alagsori kijárat vezet. A szomszédos Benczúr u. 19. felől az épület tűzfalakkal határolt, illetve a belső udvar folytatásaként kisméretű bevilágító udvartalakítottak ki a magasföldszint felett. Innen kapnak fényt a díszlépcső ablakai. A homlokzatokat a vörös kőlábazat felett mészkőburkolatú magasföldszinti zóna, felette kőarmírozással és nyíláskeretezéssel kiemelt sárga tégla borítja. - Régebben (20. sz. 2. fele?) a kínai nagykövetség volt.
