| Description |
Deutsch: Rudiment des Vorderhauses des ehemaligen Postamts 16 in der Köpenicker Straße 122 in Berlin-Mitte. Das Gebäude wurde um 1895 im typisch repräsentativen Stil kaiserlicher Postbauten errichtet und im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört. Erhalten blieben zwei Hofgebäude mit einfachen gelben Ziegelfassaden, die als Werkstatt bzw. Magazin genutzt wurden. Die Gesamtanlage ist als Baudenkmal ausgewiesen.
English: Remnant of the front building of the former Post Office 16 at Köpenicker Straße No. 122 in Berlin-Mitte. It was constructed around 1895 in the typically representative style of imperial postal buildings. The building was destroyed in WWII. However, two rear buildings, originally used as warehouse and as workshop building respectively, have survived. They have plain yellow brick facades. The whole complex has been designated as a historic landmark. |
