Weitere Maxima ergeben sich in Richtungen mit .English: en:Diffraction Single-slit diffraction: The incoming beam is divided in two halves, so that each single beam from one half corresponds with a beam in the other half with the path difference d (s = slit width, φ = diffraction angle). If d is a half wavelength λ, this direction will lead to an intensity minimum, the total path difference of 2d amounts to λ. For the following orders of minima, the beam is divided into four, six, etc. parts, each with a path difference of λ/2 to the neighbour. Generally, intensity minima occur in directions φ with: For n=0, everything is in phase, so that there is no interference at all. Additional maxima occur in the directions with |
