An important aspect of the meeting is the opportunity to network with other members and U.S. government representatives. An estimated 450 people from bioindustries heard from more than 100 different speakers sharing their expertise on topics like how to de-risk scaling and commercialization, building the next generation workforce, building better bioreactors, the importance of safety, security, sustainability, and social responsibility, and highlights from five of BioMADE’s first completed projects. BioMADE’s mission is to enable domestic bioindustrial manufacturing at all scales, develop technologies to enhance U.S. bioindustrial competitiveness, de-risk investment in relevant infrastructure, and expand the biomanufacturing workforce to realize the economic promise of industrial biotechnology.

They do this by catalyzing collaboration and innovation to:

Reduce barriers to scale-up and commercialization

Accelerate technology deployment to create novel, disruptive business models

Re-develop existing biotechnology to enhance national competitiveness
