Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Black Vulture - Coragyps atratus, Everglades National Park, Homestead, Florida. Black Vultures in the Everglades have developed a taste for rubber and plastic, and seem to enjoy eating windshield wipers and the weatherstripping on cars. The National Park Service has thoughtfully provided tarpaulins to cover vehicles, but the vultures have discovered that if they communally jump, tear, rip, etc., they can remove the tarpaulins so the plastic/rubber is exposed. In this picture, two vultures are jumping up and down on top of the tarp on the motorcycle. Clever, but very annoying birds.
