Description Blackpool 144 is a double-decker tram built in 1925 by the Blackpool Corporation for use by the Corporation's tram system (street railway system). With open end sections on its upper deck, it a type of tram/streetcar known as a "balcony car". It was retired from service in 1954 and was donated to the museum by the city of Blackpool the same year. (Note: The information display in the foreground is about a different car.)
