Deutsch: Ansicht des Blauen Hauses (erste mechanische Spinnerei; Fabrikzeile 8a) im Juli 2023. Der Verbleib des blauen Gebäudes wird seit Anfang der 2000er diskutiert. Seitdem es rumsteht, verkam es auch. Die Fassade bröckelte ab, die Ziegelmauer wird sichtbar. Über die Jahre wuchs Grün auf den Dächern des zwischen 1850 und 1880 erbauten Bauwerks. Um den Mai 2023 entschied der Stadtrat Hof, das Gebäude abzureißen, was noch 2023 geschehen soll. Bestrebungen von Leuten, die Kulturgut erhalten wollen, zielten darauf ab, dem Gebäude einen Denkmalschutzstatus zu geben, was scheiterte. Die Senioren-Wohnen Hof GmbH & Co. KG mit Sitz am Kurfürstendamm 44, 10719 Berlin ist Eigentümerin des Grundstücks, auf dem das Blaue Haus steht. Nach dem Abriss soll dort eine Wohnanlage für Leute im hohen Alter entstehen. Der Überrest selbst hat an 3 Seiten Fensteröffnungen, wobei die Seiten an der runden Ecke nicht im 90-°-Winkel zueinander stehen. Heute erinnern eine Tafel der Hofer Geschichtswege an dem Gebäude und eine gelbe Platte an den historischen Wert des Gebäudes. Das als Spinnerei genutzte Gebäude ist Teil der Textilindustrie, die dort bis heute eine Rolle spielt. Die HOFTEX Group hat in der Fabrikzeile ihren Sitz, gegenüber des Blauen Hauses. Hier sieht man die Ostfassade.
English: View of the Blue House (first mechanical spinning mill; Fabrikzeile 8a) in July 2023. The whereabouts of the Blue Building have been discussed since the early 2000s. Since it's been standing around, it's also been decaying. The facade crumbled away, revealing the brick wall. Over the years, greenery grew on the roofs of the structure built between 1850 and 1880. Around May 2023, the Hof City Council decided to demolish the building, which will still happen in 2023. Efforts by people who want to preserve cultural assets aimed to give the building a listed building status, which failed. Senioren-Wohnen Hof GmbH & Co. KG, based at Kurfürstendamm 44, 10719 Berlin, is the owner of the land on which the Blue House stands. After demolition, a residential complex for people of advanced age is to be built there. The remnant itself has window openings on 3 sides, although the sides at the round corner are not at a 90° angle to each other. Today, a Hofer Geschichtswege plaque on the building and a yellow plaque commemorate the historical value of the building. The building, used as a spinning mill, is part of the textile industry that still plays a role there today. The HOFTEX Group has its headquarters in Fabrikzeile, opposite the Blue House.
