Satire on the Peninsular war. (British political cartoon); Joseph Bonaparte flees Madrid leading French soldiers all carrying bags of booty. Behind them Spanish patriots fire muskets. A wounded Spaniard and a woman and child lie on the ground. In front of Joseph is a Lake of Blood, and over his head a rope hangs from a gibbet.
