Description
English: The U.S. Navy Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet (BuNo 166961) of Strike Fighter Squadron 22 (VFA-22) "Fighting Redcocks" lands aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) on 22 April 2023. Capt. Craig Sicola, commanding officer of the Nimitz, front seat, and Cmdr. Luke Edwards, commanding officer of VFA-22, made the 350,000th landing of a fixed-wing aircraft aboard Nimitz. VFA-22 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) for a deployment to the Western Pacific since 28 November 2022.
