Summary
[edit]DescriptionBoettinger-Marmor Marmorsaal-Neues-Schloss-Stuttgart.jpg |
English: Neues Schloss, Stuttgart, Marmorsaal, Corps de logis. After total destruction in World War II, the reconstruction of this valuable piece of architecture began in 1955, using again freshly broken “Böttingen Marble” from the Swabian Alb. The Böttingen Marble is in fact a geological rarity of travertine. Warm water from a chasm at the border of the rest of a small Miocene diatreme, on which now lies the village Böttingen, piled up “Ribboned Böttingen Marble.” |
