"Large 17th Century Court Portrait of Anna Maria Mancini, oil on canvas. Excellent quality and condition bust scale portrait of the young court beauty wearing a green and orange dress set within a feigned oval, Mancini, the daughter of Baron Mancini and Girolama Mazzarini, was among five sisters and two cousins taken to France by Cardinal Mazarin in order to marry advantageously. The portrait is likely to have been commissioned whilst attending court in England when her sister, Hortnese, was mistress to Charles II. Presented in a superb antique gilt foliate frame." [1]
