Title
Bronze Age Incomplete probable chisel
Description
English: An incomplete copper-alloy artefact, probably of Bronze Age date. This incomplete artefact may well have been a chisel. It has a sub-square cross-section tapering down to a flattened rectangular cross-sectioned pointed terminal at the complete end. This piece of copper-alloy weighs 36.98g and has a maximum length of 83.2mm to the furtherest point of the iregular and diagonal break across the widest end. The widest end measures 11.7mm x 11.2mm and the thinest end measures 7.5mm. The break reveals that artefact is at least partially hollow and that the walls of the object have a thickness of c.1.3mm at the break. Patches of corrosion and light green patina are present on this artefact.
