Bronze Age axehead
Description
English: A fragment of a Bronze Age axehead, probably from a palstave or a socketed axe (c.1600-c.800 BC). Only the cutting edge is present. It is convex with a V shaped side profile. It is corroded, and the break, 5-6 mm in from the edge, is pattinated and appears ancient. The fragment is 36 mm long, 6 mm wide and 4 mm thick. It weighs 4.5 g
