Title
Bronze Age debitage
Description
English: A flint primary flake probably of middle/late Bronze Age date (c. 1600 - c. 800 BC). Flint, pale grey, opaque, dorsal face covered by pale brown cortex. Broadly triangular in plan with convex edges and curved corners; rectangular to lozenge-shaped in cross-section. Primary working, hard hammer: the ventral face has a large bulb of percussion at the proximal end with concentric ripples radiating from the bulbar scar. Possible short, scaled, semi abrupt retouch on distal edge of dorsal face, but this is only in the cortex so is probably damage rather than retouch. Length 46.1mm, width 45.9mm, thickness 13.7mm and weight 24.6g.
