In this example of Greco-Egyptian workmanship, the nude goddess Aphrodite is shown wearing the combined crown of the Egyptian goddesses Isis (plumes) and Hathor (cow horns and sun disk). The ears of corn probably relate to the identification of Isis with Demeter, the Greek goddess of agriculture.
