“Mi salutas vin, karaj samideanoj, fratoj kaj fratinoj el la granda tutmonda homa familio, kiuj kunvenis el landoj proksimaj kaj malproksimaj, el la plej diversaj regnoj de la mondo, por frate premi al si reciproke la manojn.
(...) Modesta estas nia kunveno ; la mondo ekstera ne multe scias pri ĝi kaj (niaj) vortoj ne flugos telegrafe al ĉiuj urboj (...) de la mondo. (...) Sed tra la aero de nia salono flugas misteraj sonoj, sonoj tre mallaŭtaj, ne aŭdeblaj por la orelo, sed senteblaj por ĉiu animo sentema : (...) la sonoj de io granda, kio nun naskiĝas.” (...) “En nia kunveno ne ekzistas nacioj fortaj kaj malfortaj, privilegiitaj kaj (senprivilegiaj), neniu humiliĝas, neniu sin ĝenas, (...), ni ĉiuj estas plene egalrajtaj ; ni ĉiuj sentas nin kiel membroj de unu nacio, kiel membroj de unu familio. Kaj la unuan fojon en la historio de la homaro ni, membroj de la plej malsamaj popoloj, staras unu apud la alia ne kiel fremduloj, ne kiel konkurantoj, sed kiel fratoj (...) kiuj premas al si reciproke la manojn (...) sincere, kiel homo al homo. Ni konsciu bone la gravecon de la hodiaŭa tago, ĉar hodiaŭ, inter la gastamaj muroj de Bulonjo-(ĉe)-maro kunvenis ne francoj kun angloj, ne rusoj kun poloj, sed homoj kun homoj.” |
Je vous salue, chers amis, frères et sœurs de la grande famille humaine, qui êtes venus des pays proches ou lointains, des États les plus divers de la terre, pour vous serrer réciproquement la main comme des frères au nom de la grande idée qui nous unit tous.
(...) Notre réunion est modeste ; le monde extérieur n’entendra pas beaucoup parler de nous, et les paroles qui seront prononcées dans notre réunion ne voleront pas télégraphiquement à toutes les villes et à tous les villages de la terre (...) ; mais dans l’air de cette salle volent des sons mystérieux, des sons très faibles, que l’oreille n’entend pas, mais que perçoit toute âme sensible ; ce sont les sons de quelque chose de grand en train de naître. (...) Dans notre réunion, il n’y a pas de nations fortes ou faibles, privilégiées ou sacrifiées, personne ne s’abaisse, personne n’est gêné ; nous sommes tous sur un terrain neutre, tous égaux en droits ; nous nous sentons tous comme membres d’une même nation, d’une même famille et, pour la première fois dans l’histoire de l’humanité, nous, qui appartenons aux peuples les plus divers, nous sommes les uns auprès des autres, non comme des étrangers, non comme des rivaux, mais bien comme des frères (...) qui se serrent les mains (...) sincèrement et d’homme à homme. Comprenons bien toute l’importance de ce jour, car aujourd’hui, dans les murs hospitaliers de Boulogne-sur-Mer, se trouvent réunis non des Français avec des Anglais, des Russes avec des Polonais, mais des hommes avec des hommes. |
