For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Rostock, Überseehafen, Brech- und Klassieranlage für Phosphate
Zentralbild Karnitzki 2.7.1964 Eine moderne Brech- und Klassieranlage für Phosphate ist am 1.7.64 im Rostocker Überseehafen ihrer Bestimmung übergeben worden (unser Bild). Für den Bau dieser Anlage wurden nur drei Monate benötigt. Die vollmechanisierte Brechanlage, die den internationalen technischen Höchststand entspricht, hat eine Kapazität von rund 230.000 Tonne bei 10monatigem Dauerbetrieb im Jahr. Sie ist bedeutsam für den Umschlag der aus der Demokratischen Republik Vietnam importierten Phosphate. Dieser Rohstoff wird in der Maxhütte Unterwellenborn als Wärmeträger für das Schmelzen von Roheisen verwendet und auch in das Phosphatwerk Rüdersdorf zur weiteren Verarbeitung als Düngemittel für die Landwirtschaft geliefert. Die moderne Anlage am Massengutkai des Rostocker Überseehafens, für die ferner 3,5-Tonnen-Turmdrehkräne neu montiert wurden, ist vom Jugendkollektiv "Dr. Fidel Castor" in eigene Verantwortung übernommen worden. |
