Neulandgewinnung - Verbesserung der Ernährungslage im Lande Brandenburg (Ruppin). Unmittelbar vor den Toren Berlins im Rhin- und Havelluch, liegen auch 80 000 ha mooriges, unkultiviertes und daher für die Landwirtschaft unbrauchbares Land. In dem harten Kampf unserer jungen demokratischen Verwaltung zur Verbesserung der Ernährungslage, bei dem jeder Meter Boden benötigt und erfasst werden muss, ist auch eine großangelegte Entwässerung und Kultivierung dieser Moorflächen geplant. Wie unser Bildbericht zeigt, ist auch mit der praktischen Arbeit begonnen worden. U.B.z.: Mühelos zieht der schwere Traktor mit den ungewöhnlich breiten Hinterreifen Furche um Furche in den schweren, nassen Moorboden.
