Last of the island cowboy/vaquero camps.

The last free range cattle ranch in America was here on Padre Island. One of the most famous ranchers on the island was Patrick Dunn. He had three line camps built to use for cattle drives. Today only Novillo Line Camp still remains. The bunkhouse can be seen today from the road near the northern end of Padre Island National Seashore.
