| Description |
Deutsch: Die historische Mündung der Panke liegt 90 Meter unterhalb der Friedrchstraße in Berlin-Mitte, gegenüber dem Bahnhof Friedrichstraße. Dieser historische Pankelauf wurde 1961 mit dem Bau der Berliner Mauer abgetrennt und leergelegt. Die geplante Wiedereinrichtung dieses (Ost-)Abschnitts als Stadt- oder Südpanke ist noch nicht erfolgt, da die Bauarbeiten in diesem Gebiet in den 2010er Jahren noch in Gang sind. So hat das (historische) Mündungsloch der Panke ("am Schiffbauerdamm Nummer zwee / fließt die Panke in die Spree") kein reguläres Pankewasser. Zur Sicherung dr Ufermauer der Spree ist die Mündung durch eine Stahlspundwand versteckt. Diese Wand soll das sanierungsbedürftige Ufer vor dem Wellenschlag der Schiffe bewahren. |
