Object history
Deutsch: Falera wird schon im Tellotestament und im karolingischen Reichsguturbar erwähnt. Die Pfarrkirche St. Remigius wurde im Frühmittelalter errichtet und zählt zu den ältesten Kirchen des Oberlands. Die Kirche wird bereits dargestellt auf einer alten Fahne der «Compagnia de mats», ebenso auf der Fahne, die für die Schweizerische Landesausstellung 1939 angefertigt wurde. Ein Siegel aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit dem Bildnis des Kirchenpatrons wurde nicht als Wappenmotiv aufgegriffen.
