Nederlands: De vrouwen dragen de traditionele rok van ossenhuid.
Op 12 december 1963 werd Kenia onafhankelijk verklaard en in 1964 trad zij toe als Republiek tot het Britse Gemenebest. Jomo Kenyatta (20-10-1893 - 22-8-1978) werd de eerste president. De opname is gemaakt in Kapenguria. In deze stad staat de gevangenis waar Kenyatta in 1953 gevangen heeft gezeten voor zijn rol in de Mau Mau beweging. In het gebouw is sinds 1993 een museum gevestigd (SW, 2009) |
