Description |
Nederlands: Dit instrument wordt soms in een paar gebruikt; de grootste is dan de "moeder". De rammelaar maakt vaak deel uit van een dundun slagwerkensemble dat speelt als begeleiding bij zang en dans bij de Giriama. Deze Giriama is een van de negen etnische groepen die samen de Mijikenda vormen. Leefgebied is de kuststrook van Lamu in het noorden tot de grens Kenia / Tanzania in het zuiden. Over muziek en dans bij de Giriama is weinig bekend. |
