Description

This cablegram from Stanislaw Mikolajczyk to the Prime Minister of New Zealand Peter Fraser expresses gratitude for the invitation and care given to the Polish orphans.

Stanislaw Mikolajczyk was Prime Minister of the Polish government in exile during WW2. After the war he was Deputy Prime minister until the USSR took political control over Poland. The government in exile was established after German invasion of Poland in September 1939 and operated first from France and later from the United Kingdom.
