| Description |
Position with two fortress guns 93 L52 which belong to a fire-unit with four guns. Each of the four guns of a unit has a magazine of five projectiles. These 20 shots are fired in 25 seconds as one fire-blow. To protect and camouflage, the positions are embedded in hollows. The guns shoot out of a pit and can only be seen from close. But such pictures are something misleading because the visible part is over 5 m high, and the pit has an accordingly depth. The practical range is 36 km. The locations are classified and must remain secret. Rhine Valley, Switzerland, Feb 14, 2011. Update: The guns were shut down in fall 2011, but not declassified. |
