Description

Camillo Fire, 20 miles south of Flagstaff, southeast of Mormon Lake. Back burns along power lines creates a barrier to buffer the lines from the fire. Photo taken June 17, 2015 by Liza Simmons, Public Information Officer, USFS.

Fires such as this help clean and remove down and dead forest fuels, increasing the safety for communities and the lessening the threat of severe wildfires in the area.
