Summary

[edit]
Description

The vast majority of Denali National Park is kept in an almost completely wild state. There are no roads, no trails, no campsites, no buildings, and no emergency phones. It's just rolling wilderness criss-crossed with game trails and littered with old moose antlers. This is the Savage River unit, a brushy drainage ringed by broad-shouldered tundra peaks. Just glancing at the map it looks like it includes about a hundred square miles of pristine wilderness. Maximum unit occupancy per night: six.
