Summary[edit]
DescriptionCanada House driveway, National Shooting Centre.jpg |
English: The Canadian "Macdonald Stewart Pavilion" at the National Shooting Centre, Surrey.
The Grade-II listed Macdonald Stewart Pavilion was built in 1897 by the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association (DCRA) to provide a base for the Canadian Team at the NRA Imperial Meeting each July. Built by the firm of C J Saxe & R M Rodden of Montreal, it uses Canadian woods throughout to show their versatility for decoration and - so far as possible - resemble a Canadian house. The building was used for both exterior and interior scenes in Netflix series "The Crown", standing in for North American locations. The National Shooting Centre is located on the historic Bisley Camp, operated by the British National Rifle Association (NRA) in Surrey, England. |
