English: The Canadian Army Newsreels were ten-minute films, made up of a number of different stories and produced by the Canadian Army Film and Photo Unit. Dubbed with the phrase, "of the troops, by the troops and for the troops," these newsreels were distributed within the Canadian Army.

Drummer Boy Visits Former Unit: Billy Buchanan, the drummer boy of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles during the time of the Riel Rebellion, visits his old unit; the soldiers parade. 3. Canadian Sappers Strike It Rich: Canadian army miners look for diamonds and get a British mine back into production for civilians to take over; the miners enjoy everyday life (mealtime and games). 4. O.C.T.U. Graduation: Brigadier Marcel Noel inspects the new officers and presents certificates. 5. Women in Uniform: Major Sorby of the CWACs meets Captain Riley in England; CWACs perform their duties as secretaries and draughtswomen, take on kitchen duties at their barracks, and relax. 6.
