Description Bryan Knepper, left, National Park Service preservation specialist with Gettysburg National Military Park speaks with Col. Douglas Guttormsen, center, Arlington National Cemetery Director of Engineering, and Col. Joe A. Simonelli, chief of staff at ANC, after reinstalling a cannon and carriage after repairs at the gravesite of Maj. Gen. Wallace Fitz Randolph, born June 11, 1841, and died Dec. 9, 1910, in Section 1 of Arlington National Cemetery, Sept. 30, 2015, in Arlington, Va. "This is a government issue headstone that we are repairing because of safety issues,” said Rebecca Stevens, ANC cultural recourses manager. She also said, "The Randolph Cannon is unique in all the cemetery. It is the only military issue headstone that is not a white marble marker, it is actually a civil war era cannon."
