Description

Denominada Capela do Corpo Santo, em honra do mártir São Pedro Gonçalves. Foi mandada construir em 1557 pelos tripulantes da nau “Nossa Senhora da Conceição” que em viagem entre Lisboa e Porto sobreviveram ao naufrágio nos penedos de Leixões. A sua feitura apresenta-se com as características das antigas igrejas rurais, com um alpendre para abrigo dos devotos e em tudo muito semelhante à sua congénere de Massarelos, mas à primitiva.

Na fachada, por cima do telhado do alpendre, alinham uma edícula com a venerada imagem de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, que havia dado o nome ao navio, logo sua padroeira. Para recordar o sucedido, mandou a tripulação fazer uma miniatura da sua nau que foi colocada no interior da capela. <a href="http://www.reflexosonline.com/reflexos.php?num_foto=257831" rel="nofollow">www.reflexosonline.com/reflexos.php?num_foto=257831</a>
