Construída em 1833 para abrigar a Câmara de Vereadores e a Cadeia Pública, e do ano de 1858 a 1937 abrigou também o Fórum onde trabalhou o escritor Monteiro Lobato no ano de 1907/1911 como Promotor Público. Em 1998 passou a ser a Casa de Cultura onde está exposto um imenso acervo de marcos históricos.
