Description
English: Large cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle with moulded floral decoration on the loops, dating to c. 1550-1650. The strap bar is narrower than the rest of the frame and has a trefoil moulding at each end. On the outer edge of each loop is a cinquefoil moulding. The pin is missing. Similar examples can be seen in Whiteheads book (2003; 65; no.404)
