Description |
English: Cast copper alloy single looped buckle dating to the Medieval period. The object has integral forked spacers one of which has been bent upwards. The frame is oval and lipped. The plates and pin are missing. It has a light green patina and file marks are visible on the reverse. This buckle can be dated to c. 1350-1450.
A similar example of this type can be found on p84, Griffiths, Philpott and Egan (2007) and no. 599 p93. |
