Castell ffug ac ystâd ym Mwrdeisdref Sirol Conwy, ger Abergele yw Castell Gwrych, sydd wedi'i gofrestru fel adeilad cofrestredig Gradd I. Fe'i codwyd gan Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh (1788-1861) i gofio am deulu'r 'Llwydiaid' ar ochr ei fam. Er mwyn ei godi dymchwelwyd plasdy o'r enw 'Y Fron’ a oedd ers 1810 wedi mynd a'i ben iddo. Erbyn i Lloyd briodi'r Arglwyddes Emily Esther Ann Lygon (sef merch Beauchamp) yn 1825 roedd y tŷ newydd wedi ei godi a'i orffen.
