English: Inhibition of the RhoA-ROCK signaling pathway stops nocodazole induced contractions. NIH3T3 cells stably expressing mCherry-α-tubulin were transfected with dnRhoA-GFP and treated with nocodazole. A dnRhoA expressing cell (arrow) entered mitosis as indicated by the nuclear envelope breakdown (620 min), remained arrested for 5 hours and did not contract. Note the non transfected adjacent cell that entered mitosis earlier (568 min) and vigorously contracted. |
